About the wine
When Husband and wife team Stewart and Athena Boedecker returned home to Portland after two years in Europe’s wine country, they dove headfirst into winemaking and founded Boedeceker cellars in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
Situated in the heart of Northwest Portland, Boedecker cellars is a true urban winery located just 40 minutes from pristine Willamette vineyards where the couple sources Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for their world-class cuvees. Each of their top-scoring wines comes from a unique Willamette Valley vineyard that’s farmed sustainably and chosen for its unique mix of grape clones, elevation, and soil composition.
The Cherry Grove vineyard lies north of the Yamhill Carlton AVA, and faces south on a gentle slope comprised of ancient marine and sandstone soils. Made completely by hand and aged only in French oak, the Cherry Grove Pinot Noir was aged on the lees for 9 months to add an extra layer of complexity to this ruby Pinot Noir.
