Don’t let Orin Swift’s simple duct tape label fool you--this is over the top, powerhouse Pinot Noir like you’ve never seen it before! A snapshot of California from across AVAs like the Santa Rita Hills and Russian River Valley, Slander stays true to the Orin Swift style of big, bold, drinkable greatness.
Dark fruited and robust, this juicy Pinot still stays true to the grape, marrying wild strawberry and cherry with baking spice and dusty earth. Don’t let Slander get away!
About the wine
Orin Swift has been a Napa powerhouse since master innovator Dave Phinney first founded the label in 1998. What began as a leap of faith and a few barrels of Zinfandel, Orin Swift wines are shooting stars, consistently producing showstopping juice of incredible depth of flavor and unique character, and racking up 90+ point scores from every critic. A longtime Robert Parker favorite, it’s hard to know what Orin Swift is best known for--knockout wines, edgy labels, or its army of fans.
The Slander Pinot Noir takes aim at the entire Golden State, blending premier Pinot Noir from across appellations into a single bottle. Sources including vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills and Russian River Valley showcase the sun-soaked glory of California wine country. After ten months in French Oak, Slander is a melange of classic Pinot Noir aromas--wild strawberry, red cherry, and earth--beautifully mixed with baking spice, clove, and toasty oak.

"One of the most magical bottles I’ve had from Dave Phinney. Everything just soars from the glass. A huge spectrum of aromas and flavors. Front and center are extraordinary and impressive notes of fruit jam cooking on the stove. Touches of rose petal, blood orange, baking cherries and warm earth. The wine is so deep and mouth-filling that it resonates for minutes afterwards. This is a glorious wine that will impress anyone daring enough to dive in!"
