The Terlato family has been a global wine powerhouse for decades, and now they’ve turned their import empire into a boutique production house and we couldn’t be happier! With full family control from the vineyards to the shelf, Terlato’s reputation for excellence bursts from every glass of this golden Sonoma Chardonnay.
From the heart of Russian River Valley, the ‘14 is the Mother Lode of beautiful, California concentration—ripe apples, pears, and cream—balanced by French Oak nuance. A must-have white for summer!
About the wine
Across four generations, the Terlato family first brought wines to America’s table as importers, and now as producers of world-class wines from family-owned vineyards on both sides of the Atlantic.
A truly global perspective and access to the best vineyards, as well as expansive knowledge of winemaking techniques and the American wine market, gives Terlato a hefty advantage over its competition—and you can taste it in Winemaker Bryan Parker’s classic approach to the Russian River.
Crafted from a vineyard that lies just 12 miles from the Pacific Ocean, this Chardonnay benefits from a cool, humid climate that gives the vines a longer, more mild growing season than its inland counterparts. Aged briefly in French Oak, Terlato’s take on Chardonnay is well-balanced and bright, with enough spice and richness to be interesting yet enough acid to remain incredibly refreshing.

"Caramelized oak makes a statement in this wine that starts out richly and roundly, but finds a sense of balanced acidity in the glass. Medium bodied, it features classic notes of Meyer lemon and Gravenstein apple."
"One of the best wines I’ve tasted in a long time."=3.9/5
